Every Child Can! (ECC) course
ECC is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki's philosophy and its application for Suzuki education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. FEE for ECC class: Additional $90 for the ECC course with a 30% discount for teachers who have volunteered in the past ($63), and a 20% discount to parents whose children are participating in the retreat workshop ($72.)
The ECC class will be offered on Friday, January 20nd from 9am-4pm and will not interfere with any other activities at the retreat. This class will be taught by Pat D'Ercole.
Patricia D'Ercole, Interim Director of the Aber Suzuki Center at UWSP teaches violin to children and Suzuki pedagogy courses to college students. Pat has taught at many institutes throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Finland, Peru, Chile, Mexico and Estonia. She is the coordinator of the International Research Symposium on Talent Education and is responsible for the project, “The American Suzuki Institute at the UWSP: The Suzuki Method in Action,” a collection of videos of Dr. Suzuki that are now posted on the web. Pat is a teacher trainer and has written for the American Suzuki Journal, served on the Board of Directors and as its chair.
