Description
The NJSD suzuki program is an extension of the Neenah Joint School District (NJSD). Classes and Lessons are free for students and families and are oered after school time from 3:30-7:30 p.m.. Roughly twenty hours a week with paid performances in addition to lessons and prep time. Lessons follow the suzuki philosophy and include parent involvement. Students receive a lesson and participate in a group class on Thursdays every week.
Duties: Teach semi-private paired lessons on Violin,Viola, Cello, Bass Monday-Friday, with group classes on Thursday evenings. Must schedule lesson times and eectively communicate with all stakeholders. Must communicate group class lessons and deliver instruction as decided by the suzuki team.
Qualications: Suzuki registered training through Book 2 on one instrument (minimum). Experience with other string instruments preferred.
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in music performance or music education with string instrument required.
3 - 5 years teaching experience (minimum)
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, exibility, and creativity
Strong performance ability and resume
Commitment to continued growth as teacher and musician
DPI Licence to teach instrumental music in the public schools in Wisconsin preferred. Possibility to teach/assist in the daily schedule for the NJSD orchestra program during the school day for additional hours pending FTE availability.

​Suzuki Violin Instructors (multiple openings)

Location: Stevens Point, WI

Description: The UWSP Aber Suzuki Center offers a year-round program to 230 students from 30 cities in Central WI. Offerings include individual instruction in violin, viola cello, bass, guitar, piano, flute, harp and voice; group classes, weekly chamber music coaching, ASC String Orchestra and SECE.
Duties: Teach individual and group lessons to violinists ages three to adult, lead students in group lessons and performances and collaborate with Suzuki faculty members to plan program-wide events. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree, Commitment to the Suzuki phil., Experience with young children, Ability to work independently & function as a team member. Preferred: Master’s degree, Significant Suzuki training & teaching experience. Viola teaching experience an asset, Teacher Trainer experience or potential to become one.
